BRINGS LATEST PHOTO TECHNOLOGIES TO
NEW YORK IN AUGUST
First all-digital photo show promises “All pixels, no film.”
(Darien, CT, February 1, 2005) -- DPI EXPO 2006, a new trade show and conference for photography professionals, digital insiders and prosumers, was announced today by Sean Moriarty, President of Rowland Court Media. DPI EXPO 2006, the Digital Photography & Imaging Expo, is slated for January 2006 in New York City. DPI EXPO 2006 will showcase the latest advances in digital cameras, computer-based picture editing, networked image databases and output in three days of exhibits, seminars, demonstrations, panel discussions and hands-on tutorials on the state of the digital art.
“In 2006, most new cameras are digital cameras,” said Jack Powers, director of
New York’s International Informatics Institute and conference chairman of DPI
EXPO. “As we move away from film toward computer-based images, there’s an
explosion of opportunity for capturing, editing, categorizing, transmitting and
sharing pictures in ways we could never do before. It’s an exciting time, and at
DPI EXPO we’ll explore the outlines of this digital revolution.”
The DPI EXPO includes traditional photography exhibitors making the switch to
digital as well as computer, networking and consumer electronics firms that are
bringing new technologies to imaging. DPI EXPO's three-day conference covers the
basics digital photography, the latest development in hardware and software, and
the creative considerations for professional and prosumer photographers. Special
focus tracks on Digital Video, Intelligent Cameras, Copyrights & Royalties, and
the Corporate Applications for Digital Images will be presented.
